Novartis Will Add China Sales Reps to Gain Market Share

Novartis announced plans to increase its China sales force after the company saw its rate of growth decline in 2010. According to Novartis’ CEO, Joe Jimenez, the company’s growth rate in China dropped last year, following a 30% increase in 2009. Although Mr. Jimenez did not release specific numbers, he created the impression the growth rate was much lower, but still at least 10%. The goal of the sales force buildup, he said, is to gain market share. More details....
