Vesicure Announces Positive Early Results of Exosome Technology for siRNA Delivery

Suzhou Vesicure Therapeutics, a company developing exosomes to deliver siRNA drugs, announced that its extracellular vesicles (EVs) successfully carried siRNA cargo targeting a KRAS mutation in a CDX (Cell line-derived xenograft) mouse tumor model. EVs are endogenous, cell secreted nano-vehicles that Vesicure believes have potential to offer safer delivery of regenerative therapies than cell therapies. In a new study, Vesicure applied its exosome-siRNA technology to target a KRAS mutation in a CDX mouse model. The IV injected exosomes were enriched in tumors, inhibiting growth without causing significant toxicity in the mice models. More details....
